Pet Loss Grief Support

For those of us who love our pets like family, losing them can be devastating and life-changing. Moving through this type of grief can be especially difficult because our friends, family, and society at large do not always understand or appreciate the deep bonds we share with animals. However, bereavement does not have to be a solitary task. Finding comfort, support, and understanding can help us move forward and restore a positive outlook. Knowing that you are not alone in this journey can provide solace and facilitate healing.

At Humane Hearts, we provide specialized grief counseling for people of all ages needing extra kindness and compassion as they navigate the unique sorrows and challenges of pet bereavement or the anticipated loss of an animal. Our Certified Pet Loss Grief Support Specialist provides empathy and guidance through three types of sessions, available virtually (everywhere) and in person (Massachusetts, southern New Hampshire, & southern Maine).

Individual
Sessions

Personalized one-on-one sessions to help process the emotions of your loss and navigate through the grief recovery process to a sunnier place.

Family
Sessions

A supportive space for couples and families to work through their shared and individual emotions with the help and understanding of a specialist.
